The aim of this article is to explore, in the countries of the so-called Arab Spring, the relationship between the pressures of the international context (understood in terms of geography, the distribution of power, and the global normative agenda) and regime change or domestic political crises. In all cases, the international environment has often been determinant in the development of economic, social and political dynamics, although the objectives and consequences of such interaction are very different according to the country. This examination centers on three issue-areas: politics and economy, violence, and foreign policy.eng
