dc.description.abstractLas tendencias internacionales reportan que la actividad turística en la localidad y las comunidades experimentará un crecimiento sostenido a partir del desarrollo de una oferta fundamentada en lo auténtico de sus tradiciones. En Cuba existen experiencias de gestión municipal turística, entre las cuales se destaca el Centro Histórico de La Habana (La Habana) y Trinidad (Sancti Spiritus). Gibara, por conservar valores del patrimonio cultural y natural, apoyado por un mínimo de infraestructura, podría convertirse en un espacio turístico con posibilidades de ser gestionado y comercializado desde la localidad, desempeñando así un importante papel en los resultados económicos y en la diversificación de la oferta turística del destino Holguín, al ofrecer productos exclusivos que tienen como eje central las tradiciones y el patrimonio locales. De ahí que la investigación, cuyos resultados se presentan, describa el Programa de Desarrollo para Gibara como Municipio Turístico, dirigido a fomentar el desarrollo de productos turísticos locales, gracias a sus espacios natural, patrimonial e histórico-cultural.spa
dc.description.abstractInternational trends report that the tourist activity to locality and communities levels will experience a sustained growth, starting to develop an offer based in the authentic oftheir traditions. In Cuba, the municipal management touristic experience is highlighted in Old Havana (La Habana) and in Trinidad (Sancti Spiritus). Gibara, preserving the cultural and natural heritage values, supported bya minimum of infrastructure, could becomea tourist space, possible to be negotiated and marketed from the own town, playing an important role in the economic results and in the diversification of the tourist offer of Holguín destination, offering exclusive products that have as a corner stone the local traditions and heritage. Hence, the research results presented describes the Program for Developing Gibara as a Tourist Municipality, aiming at encouraging the development of local tourism products, thanks to its natural, heritage and historical-cultural spaces.eng
