The objective of this research is to analyze the narrative constructions of soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers of the Colombian National Army disabled by an antipersonnel mine that reflect the subjective positions, diverse attributions of meaning to the event and experiences lived in the rehabilitation process, in order to account for the relevance and compatibility of the comprehensive rehabilitation system of the public force. This study was based on social constructionism and the implementation of narratives as the foundation of the methodological approach. To carry it out, an opinion survey and several semi-structured interviews were conducted with 30 soldiers, NCOs and officers with disabilities. The narrative analysis of this research revealed discursive actions in the institutional, personal and social spheres, which are part of the way of understanding the antipersonnel landmine accident and of positioning oneself in relation to the rehabilitation process and the situation of disability. Positions and experiences that were shaping a scenario of dominant narratives that frame the subject in the heroic work of being a soldier of Colombia, and alternative ones that recover those vital domains that go beyond the camouflage, which emerge in that subjective transition reflected in the free and critical narration of the subjects.
