The purpose of this research is to understand the importance of cultural heritage in building resilience for the individual elaboration of grief, in family victims of disappearance forced by the armed conflict in the municipality of Castillo, corregimient of Medellín of the Ariari, department of Meta. The theoretical references that justify and guide this research and give contextual relevance to the methodological assurnptions is the systemic approach. In order to carry it out, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 family members as victims of forced disappearance and 6 social leaders. This research showed that there are elements within the cultural heritage such as memory and ecclesiastical heritage that favor ambiguous duels and families in a condition of forced disappearance through the adoption of spiritual mechanisms, as well as the forms of resistance created by the community headed by the social leaders who gave way to the formation of support networks that would become tutors of resilience in the midst of the armed conflict and that in post-conflict times would serve not only to accompany families in the search and wait for their relatives, but also as a way to make their experience visible during the conflict and as a rejection of the repetition of violence.
