In the present work we talk about the moral and ethical values that formed the religious culture built by the Regeneration and that presented strong challenges in the vision that they were looking for on the one hand liberals and on the other conservative. The former political and intellectual elite was already dying, these nineteenth-century characters will be overtaken by a new group of mostly non-political but business characters. Afler the Thousand Days War, the country begins to build and modrnize at all levels, this growth is due to the business elite who invested their capital to build and form a new sociely. It was this abrupt enrichment at this beginning of the century that formed the bases that would manage these large business families throughout the twentieth century. While in the periphery of the country there was an impoverishment due to the precariousness of transport, education, the presence of the State and even marked a regionalism and a cultural clash between "modern" cities and small towns.
