La mercantilización de los espacios educativos en el marco del capitalismo cognitivo
The transition between Fordism and post-Fordism involved the development of a new form of capitalism that some have calied cognitive capitalism. This type of capitalism is characterized by the consolidation of intangible elements, which traditionally moved away from the mercantile sphere, into intangible goods that begin to respond to the logic of the market Among the many intangible goods, knowledge has been one of the most affected by the merchandizing attempts of this form of capitalism. This situation has led to an aggressive commodification of educational spaces that among other things, produces a progressive and subtle commodification of subjectivities through predominantly persuasive forms of power and control. This thesis document narrates the experiences lived in a primary school located in Suba in Bogota, Colombia, during the first and second semester of 2017. In spite of the sampling limitations imposed by the precariousness of available resources, the results, conclusions and reflections obtained there provide an initial general perspective of the phenomenon of current commodification, as well as of the resistance strategies that educational subjects have begun to develop.
