Resumen en inglés
When talking about corporate social responsibility there is a tendency to associate it with the work of large companies or organizations that generate great impacts on the contexts in which their respective operations unfold, seeking to assure their sustainability through policies and strategies that are generally implemented and presented to their stakeholders through various instruments such as ISO 26000, the Global Reporting Initiative or the Technical Guide on Social Responsibility Colombian GTC 180, among others On the other hand, in order to understand how Corporate Social Responsibility develops productive initiatives that generate value from Solid Waste, it becomes necessary: first, to understand the scope of the definitions of corporate social responsibility CSR, sustainability and ethics; second, to recognize what is, and how is defined “waste” specially the potentially recyclable one, understanding the importance of responsible consumption and of generating value for businesses and organizations, as well as to understand how these concepts relate in the business context; and third, to determine how is the development of productive initiatives that work in the recovery of waste in an urban context as the city of Bogota, capital of Colombia, through a comparative analysis to understand how corporate social responsibility develops within them, and to identify what are the barriers and potentiality of each of these productive initiatives in their search for sustainability.
