On May 31, 2018, President Juan Manuel Santos has finally realized an old aspiration, the incorporation of Colombia into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Colombia is the only country in Latin America considered a 'global partner' of NATO, a status of greater cooperation that it shares with other countries such as Afghanistan, Australia or Japan, but does not imply membership of the Atlantic Alliance. This agreement, signed in Brussels, deals with the modernization of Colombia's military forces and the exchange of information due to the international admiration that our public forces have for a conflict of more than 60 years, through this agreement will allow positioning the country as an example to international level. It should be noted that this international organization has been characterized by the intervention of countries in crisis during the last two decades through military actions that are not at all humanitarian or not, whose examples will be presented in the investigation, such as Kosovo, Afghanistan and Libya. The following research question arises, which will be solved in the present writing: If when subscribing Colombia a "Global Partner with NATO" agreement, on security information sharing internal and external reaffirms that its foreign policy is subject, in military matters, to determinations strategies of the main actor of this organization that are the United States

El 31 de mayo de 2018, el presidente Juan Manuel Santos, finalmente ha hecho realidad una antigua aspiración, la incorporación de Colombia en la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte. Colombia es el único país de América Latina considerado como un 'socio global' de la OTAN, un estatus de mayor cooperación que comparte con otros países como Afganistán, Australia o Japón, pero que no implica su membresía a la Alianza Atlántica. Este convenio firmado en Bruselas, versa sobre la modernización de las fuerzas militares de Colombia y el intercambio de información debido a la admiración internacional que tiene nuestra fuerza pública por un conflicto de más de 60 años, mediante este convenio permitirá posicionar al país como ejemplo a nivel internacional. Cabe destacar que esta organización internacional se ha caracterizado por intervenir países en crisis las últimas dos décadas mediante acciones militares poco o nada humanitarias, cuyos ejemplos se presentarán en la investigación como son Kosovo, Afganistán y Libia. Surge la siguiente pregunta de investigación, que va hacer resuelta en el presente escrito: ¿Si al suscribir Colombia un convenio de "Socio Global con la OTAN", sobre compartibilildad de información en seguridad interna y externa reafirma que su política exterior se supedita, en materia militar, a las determinaciones estratégicas del principal actor de esta organización que son los Estados Unidos
