This research is composed of the introduction and 5 chapters. The first chapter describes the research problem, which follows from the following research question: What are the characteristics of institutional accreditation far Higher Education in Argentina, Chile and Colombia, according to the regulations in force far the year 2018? In the second chapter the argumentative support that supports the central theme is exposed, in this case the institutional accreditation for higher education; the above, based on theory about evaluation, quality assurance and comparative education. Chapter number three explains the research methodology, sample, population selection, type of research and analysis categories. In the fourth chapter the analysis of the findings is developed and the discussion is extended in the light of the theoretical framework. Chapter five presents the conclusions, recommendations and limitations of study.

La presente investigación está compuesta por la introducción y 5 capítulos. En el primer capítulo se describe el problema de investigación, el cual se desprende de la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Cuáles son las características de la acreditación institucional para la Educación Superior de Argentina, Chile y Colombia, de acuerdo a la normatividad vigente para el año 2018? En el Segundo capítulo se expone el sustento argumentativo que respalda el tema central, en este caso la acreditación institucional para la educación superior; lo anterior, basado en teoría sobre la evaluación, el aseguramiento de la calidad y la educación comparada. En el capítulo número tres se explican la metodología de la investigación, muestra, selección de la población, tipo de investigación y las categorías de análisis. En el cuarto capítulo se desarrolla el análisis de los hallazgos y se amplía la discusión a la luz del marco teórico. El capítulo cinco presenta las conclusiones, recomendaciones y limitaciones de estudio.
