El Museo Real de Vélez (Santander), ha sido creado y administrado por una sola persona, no tiene una gestión patrimonial con la comunidad, pero ella misma tiene unas características propias de su cultura, folclor e idiosincrasia que no requieren medidas urgentes de salvaguardia patrimonial. Entre el Museo y Vélez no hay un límite del patrimonio cultural e inmaterial, por tanto, la investigación aborda las categorías de: patrimonio, memoria, historia e identidad, teniendo en cuenta el origen de las ciencias históricas y museológicas para debatir las formas contemporáneas en que aparece la gestión patrimonial en medio de la alteridad.

The Real Museum of Velez (Santander) has been created and managed by a single person, does not have a patrimonial management with the community, but it owns own characteristics of its culture and folklore that do not require urgent measures of patrimonial safeguard. Between the Museum and Velez there is no limit to the cultural and immaterial heritage, therefore the research addresses the categories of: heritage, memory, history and identity, taking into account the origin of the historical and museological sciences to discuss the contemporary forms in which appears the patrimonial management in the middle of the otherness.
