El turismo es un sector que ha ido creciendo en la última década y se ha logrado posicionar como uno de potencial crecimiento y expansión a largo plazo, esto ha llevado a que se haya diversificado de su actividad en un primer momento, es así que se reconoce el turismo de tipo ecológico o ecoturismo en el que las actividades turísticas tiene un énfasis de protección especial al medio ambiente y el turismo comunitario que no solo genera un turismo más cercano a la naturaleza sino quEi logra contextualizarlo al marco sociocultural del mismo. El municipio de Valledupar a pesar de tener una variedad ecológica y una riqueza cultural no ha logrado consolidar una política turística y, el eco parque se perfila hacia la búsqueda de esa consolidación. Para ello el proyecto se ha centrado en la creación de un corredor recreacional en el que se vincula naturaleza y cultural generando un espacio en el que se pueda realizar múltiples actividades y se fomente el turismo durante todo el año que desde el presente trabajo se formule una propuesta de vinculación del escenario ecológico con el comunitario abordando una nueva alternativa para fortalecer el turismo local.

Tourism is a sector that has been growing in the last decade and has managed to position itself as one of potential growth and long-term expansion, this has led to it having diversified its activity at first, this is how it is recognized ecological tourism or ecotourism in which tourist activities have an emphasis on special protection of the environment and community tourism that not only generates tourism closer to nature but also manages to contextualize it within its socio-cultural framework. The municipality of Valledupar, despite having an ecological variety and cultural richness, has not been able to consolidate a tourist policy and the eco-park is shaping up towards the search far that consolidation. For this, the project has focused on the creation of a recreational corridor in which nature and culture are linked, generating a space in which multiple activities can be carried out and tourism is promoted throughout the year that from the present work a propasa! to link the ecological scenario with the community one, addressing a new alternative to strengthen local tourism.
