Esta ponencia deviene de la investigación titulada "los tallos Montemarianos: gaita y tabaco." realizada en el área de Cultura y Sociedad. Esta investigación busca hacer una aproximación innovadora frente a la gaita y el tabaco en la región de los Montes de María, buscando delimitar diferentes puntos y relaciones entre los mismos, para resaltar la ausencia de unión en sus investigaciones, pues dichas se han realizado en el país por caminos separados. El encuentro que se logra en este trabajo permite comprender el rol y la importancia de la gaita y el tabaco dentro de los Montes de María, sus habitantes y sus prácticas.

This paper becomes from the investigation named "Los Tallos Montemarianos: gaita (bagpipe) y tabaco (cigar)", developed in the cultural and social area. This investigation makes an innovative approximation to the Bagpipes and the Cigars inside the region of Los Montes de Maria, remarking the absence in the investigations of both, which are developed by separate ways in the country. This paper permits to understand the role and the importance of both parts, Bagpipe and Cigar, between the place (Montes de Maria), their inhabitants and their practices.
