En Colombia, las actividades del sector de hidrocarburos se suelen desarrollar en entornos complejos. De esa manera las empresas operadoras del sector, han recurrido a convenios de colaboración con la fuerza pública y/o a la contratación de empresas de vigilancia y seguridad privada, con el fin de garantizar la seguridad de sus operaciones y de su personal. De esa manera, este estudio buscó hacer un análisis de brechas entre: las percepciones que tienen algunas de las operadoras de hidrocarburos en Colombia frente a sus prácticas de seguridad y lo planteado por el referente internacional más sobresaliente en este ámbito: Principios Voluntarios de Seguridad y Derechos Humanos (PV).
In Colombia, the oil industry often operates in complex environments. For this reason, they have resorted to collaboration agreements with the public force and to hire private security and surveillance companies, to guarantee both their safety and the safety of their employees. this research paper analyzes gaps between the perceptions of the practices that some of the oil companies in Colombia have and the practices established by the most outstanding international reference in this field: Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
