Esta tesis, es el resultado de la investigación "GUARDIANES DEL AGUA, UNA MIRADA DESDE LA COMUNIDAD MISAK MISAK DE SILVIA CAUCA", realizado para optar al título de socióloga de la Universidad Externado de Colombia. Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas, Área Procesos Sociales Territorio y Medio Ambiente. Aquí se presentará de manera general la visión de las comunidades originarias del continente (Abya Yala) centrado en las conexiones y redes que se generan en "el territorio" en torno al agua. Como un elemento central para los Piurek (hijos del agua) del Resguardo de Guambía. En este sentido, partiré describiendo los caminos del agua en Abya yala. luego, caminaremos sobre las huellas de los Shures (Sabedores) en los Andes, Colombia y Cauca. Por último, nos adentraremos en la Zona Cacique del Resguardo de Guambía, para describir a grandes pinceladas las tensiones y soluciones que ha propuesto la comunidad desde las instituciones estatales, el Cabildo como autoridad territorial y ambiental, y otras (Apropesca) dentro del territorio Misak Misak del siglo XXI.

This thesis is the result of the research "WATER CUARDIANS, A LOOK FROM THE MISAK MISAK COMMUNITY OF SILVIA CAUCA", carried out to qualify for the sociologist degree of the Externado University of Colombia, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Area Social Processes Territory and Environment. Here we will present in a general way the vision of the original communities of the continent (Abya Yala) focused on the connections and networks that are generated in "the territory" around water. As a central element for the Piurek (children of water) of the Cuambía Reserve. In this sense, I will start describing the water paths in Abya yala. then, we will walk on the tracks of the Shures (connoisseurs) in the Andes, Colombia and Cauca. Finally, we will enter the Cacique Zone of the Guambía Reserve, to describe the tensions and solutions proposed by the community from the state institutions, the Cabildo as territorial and environmental authority, and others (Apropesca) within the territory Misak Misak of the 21st century.
