In Latin America there have also been transmedia efforts linked to politics, especially on participation in political processes by society. However, there are not many studies that gather and analyze how these transmedia efforts were carried out, in order to be able to identify their characteristics and have the possibility of replicating them. Therefore, it is important to answer the question of What have been the transmedia strategies that have been implemented in the region in order to encourage citizen participation in politics and what are the characteristics that these strategies have had? To answer this question, this research will be divided into three parts. The first will be a bibliographic review through which a vision will be built on how to understand transmedia strategies and the importance they have for politics and especially to encourage non-traditional political participation. In addition, a state of the art will be made in which what has been done from the academy in the last five years on the subject will be analyzed.
