- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de la oficina de gestión de proyectos - PMO para Datacenter Colombia S.A.S(Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2020-04) Arcila Navarro, Andrés Felipe; Salas Restrepo, Edson Daniel; Osorio Villada, Fabio HernánEl presente documento se construye como parte de nuestra propuesta de trabajo de grado para alcanzar el título de Magister en Gerencia Estrategia de Tecnologías de la Información de la Universidad Externado de Colombia y tiene como finalidad formular la propuesta de diseño de la oficina de dirección de proyectos PMO para DATACENTER COLOMBIA, la cual a través de un análisis efectuado en la compañía sobre sus metodologías y procesos de trabajo aplicados en la actualidad para la gestión y administración de proyectos de tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones TIC; la validación del entorno empresarial y la validación de las buenas prácticas para la implementación y administración de proyectos desarrolladas por el Project Management Institute PMI nos permitió generar una serie de recomendación en pro de alcanzar los objetivos estratégicos planteados por la alta gerencia. Este documento se basa en la información recopilada a través de la aplicación de encuestas como herramienta para la recolección de información y así de esta manera determinar el nivel de madurez con el que actualmente se gestionan los proyectos, de esta forma se procede a identificar el tipo de PMO que se sugiere, proponiendo como valor agregado el análisis, diagnóstico y guía de implementación para los procesos: Evaluación y priorización de proyectos, monitorear el avance del proyecto, acta de constitución del proyecto, dirigir y gestionar el proyecto, gestionar el conocimiento del proyecto y cierre del proyecto.

Although the Area has within its main activities the negotiation, design, and management of projects from public or private resources and implementation of programs defined within the mission of the organization, does not have this instance. Although great efforts have been made by the organization and especially the Governance Area in managing the projects in an organized and coherent manner; There are some important aspects that show that there is no formally institutionalized structure that performs the functions associated with the professional administration of projects. Under this scenario, and with the aim of improving the management and positioning of the Area in the UNDP, the need to propose the design of a specialized office that is responsible for developing and implementing procedures and methodologies that are necessary for the timely development is identified. of the projects, as well as the design of tools to systematize the implementation of good practices in project management. Although the objectives of the developed projects have been achieved, it has been identified that there are difficulties in the management and administration of projects that may be generated in the medium term; difficulties for the Area Management in negotiating new projects and the results of those that are being executed
