The tapie addressed far the development of the research is the creation of a value to generate a tourist and cultural promotion of the Glass Museum of the city of Bogota. This Museum is a community initiative that was born in 2011 as a virtual museum proposal and three years later opens its doors to the public, as a royal museum, with the aim of preserving the glassmaking tradition of the town of San Cristóbal and making known the history of glass in Colombia and its development process since the 19th century. For the construction of the project: different theories of tourist value applicable to the Museum are analyzed; the historical and current context of the community and its relationship with San Cristóbal is examined; a characterization and description of the Museum is carried out; and a series of actions focused on the theories of tourist valorization that contribute to the promotion of the Museum are proposed.
