Bogotá, Colombia(Bogotá : Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2017., 2017) Hernández Ibarra, Carolina; Sánchez Torres, Juan de JesúsIn this research exercise we studied the expectations of the professionals of the Postgraduate School of the FAC - Subject Command, in their working life and how they are determinants in their personal and professional development; since it is evident that the first expectations correspond to the monetary ones and to the development of their functions but that with time they are transformed into expectations that go beyond to again a salary and to perform some functions; was sustained in the core line of the University of the Organizational area - Organizational Development. We used a test built and validated by Toro (1992) "Work Motivation Questionnaire" which evaluates Maslow's hierarchy of needs theories and Herzberg's hygienic factors; this instrument was designed considering the following dimensions: five internal motivational conditions; achievement, power, affiliation, self-realization and recognition. Five means to obtain desired retribution at work: dedication to the task, acceptance of authority, acceptance of norms and values, requisition and expectation and Five external motivational conditions such as supervision, work group, work content, salary and promotion; was applied with prior informed consent to a group of 29 professionals from the Postgraduate School of the F AC, Bogota, Colombia, where they worked from a qualitative approach of interpretative, constructivist - historical and hermeneutical type, since the collaborators assumed the instrument and they answered interactively.
