    This document presents the case the Implementation Plan for Strengthening Public Management processes in the municipalities of Barrancas, Dibulla, Hatonuevo, Maicao, Manaure and Uribia, carried out by Cerrejon and its Foundation for Institutional Strengthening. This sought to have the mayoralities know the procedure to access the resources of royalties established in the New General System of Royalties. As impacts are, the generation of culture of resource management and self - management of projects by local governments and the transition from a transactional relationship to a constructive relationship, which contributes to department building, a win - win relationship in the That both actors are winners. The results showed the increase in the number of projects approved by the OCAD, the best positioning in the ranking of the Integral Performance Index and the quality certification achieved by the Ministry of Finance of the municipality of Maicao. As factors of success are the credibility and support of institutions and the community towards Cerrejon as a leader in good business practices, as well as the strategy of relationship on the part of Cerrejon to its stakeholders.
