- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEncuentros y desencuentros entre la universidad y el sujeto(Bogotá : Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2018., 2018-11) Jiménez Serrato, Sandra MilenaMost of the time, scholar institutions are considered as power and homogenization structures. This is even perceived stronger in higher education institutions, that under the name of knowledge sometimes go against the needs of the subject. In general, institutional rationality are prioritized over the personal rationality and it seems that these two systems are not connected. There is no intention in substituting any of them or identifying their importance but understanding their relations. Thus, the present research expects to understand the way universities favor, block or weaken the processes of training, of acknowledging and of academic subjects strengthening in the contexts of Colombian neo liberal policies. This research was conducted foilowing a phenomenology design and articulated with the hermeneutic approach: reflexive conversations with teachers and students from four universities were carried out with the intention to value the dynamics that happen in university daily routines and how they lead to the subjectivity.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoLa mercantilización de los espacios educativos en el marco del capitalismo cognitivo(Bogotá : Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2018., 2018) Arias Labrador, Raquel SofíaThe transition between Fordism and post-Fordism involved the development of a new form of capitalism that some have calied cognitive capitalism. This type of capitalism is characterized by the consolidation of intangible elements, which traditionally moved away from the mercantile sphere, into intangible goods that begin to respond to the logic of the market Among the many intangible goods, knowledge has been one of the most affected by the merchandizing attempts of this form of capitalism. This situation has led to an aggressive commodification of educational spaces that among other things, produces a progressive and subtle commodification of subjectivities through predominantly persuasive forms of power and control. This thesis document narrates the experiences lived in a primary school located in Suba in Bogota, Colombia, during the first and second semester of 2017. In spite of the sampling limitations imposed by the precariousness of available resources, the results, conclusions and reflections obtained there provide an initial general perspective of the phenomenon of current commodification, as well as of the resistance strategies that educational subjects have begun to develop.
