De la individualidad a la colectividad" : fortalecimiento del territorio y creación de tejido social de Bogotá(Bogotá : Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2020, 2020) Pérez Garzón, Johanna AlejandraFolk dance is expressed through memories, rhythms and movements which are associated with cultural patterns about the body and movement, in addition to the logic that gives meaning to their presence and acting within a territory. Dance is more than an artistic expression, because life stories of individuals and entire communities coincide in it. These dances recreate the impact of Colombian history on the regional configuration. Dance as a cultural and territorial expression, uses memories that maintain cultural cohesion and articulates the principles of emotional expression, social fabric and citizenship. So it is a fundamental aspect of human development and makes it a tool to maintain processes of social cohesion and human development, understanding the reciprocity between individual-society-territory, because communication models are created from the unity of being, increasing security in each individual and making it easier to relate to the other and the environment.
