This research project aims to understand both the origin, the inheritance and the persistence of the conflict between the e’irrukuu in Wayuu society. The axes of reference are five aspects that emerge in the context: (1) the conception of the territory (understood as the place inherited by descendants by maternal lineage); (2) social organization (social structure comprised by e’irrukuu or clans in maternal line); (3) Narrative of pain (Voices that flourish in theaters of war, understood as a way of making the other understand that their maternal family has a problem and that they should position themselves on it); (4) Physical and access changes in the territory (how narrow the territory becomes for its inhabitants and the changes it has in conflict circumstances); (5) Emerging narrative (Fabric of voices that emerge in scenarios of new social constructions in order to weave new ways of approaching the expressions of the conflict).
